I never even realized that it had been hyped up so much. I’d say at least 95% of the movie-going audience doesn’t involve themselves in the internet film community and that is probably the same percentage of people who enjoyed the movie at my screening. Maybe only visiting a few movie-related sites on the net enabled me to enjoy this movie so much? Nah, if a movie is good, then it’s good and that’s what I thought Pineapple Express was.

I feel the same thing may happen with “Tropic Thunder.” It’s tough to go in with no expectations when you keep hearing how amazing it is.

It has some moments, but is generally unmemorable. I give a 2/5 , which is what equiv on Film Junk, a 1.5 maybe out of 4?

Tonight I saw another new release, Man on Wire, a documentary about a wirewalker who went between the WTC Towers in the 70s. it is my new #1 of 2008 and will be tough to beat.
