  • I don’t like to think so i will not give you any ideas, however i think you guys have a cool idea, get that a goin’.

  • adam

if you hurt my friends then you hurt my pride. I gotta be a man, I can’t let it slide. haha

  • Greg

Little tidbit of extra info…”Real American” – Hulk Hogan’s theme music which Adam just wonderfully quoted was written and performed by Rick Derringer. That same Rick Derringer wrote and performed the killer classic rock tune ‘Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo’ which was also covered my Hulk Hogan’s buddy, Mean Gene Okerlund.

Chew on it and share it with your friends.

  • Goon

Derringer also did the Demolition theme.

  • adam

your los angeles kobes are in trouble. kobe back to his old self taking lots of low percentage shots, not setting up his teammates. the amazing thing is the lakers are 4.5 to 1 fav for game 3. lakers will probably win game at home, but 4.5 to 1 is crazy.

  • Primal

Not really adam. They haven’t lost a single game at home during the playoffs and havent lost on their home floor in over 2 months. Not crazy at all. They’ll be in trouble if they lose game 3 though.

  • garnett > bryant and should have been MVP.

  • FilmJunk, not NBAJunk

  • Primal

I actually agree with you there Henrik. The MVP has been always been about the numbers, but even if that was applied this year then Chris Paul should have won it hands down.

Lame analogy but closest I can tie it with movies, Bryant winning this year is like Scorcese winning for best director for The Departed. It was a long time coming and Garnett already won his.

  • Primal

Don’t worry Drew, this topic is seasonal. Just a few days ago it was ReligionJunk.

  • CheelWheals

Rick Derringer is also the title character in the Steely Dan song “Rikki Don’t Loose That Number”–made eternal by one John Mahoney in “Say Anything…”

  • Kobe is the MVP of anal rape at Colorado spas.

    That count for anything?

  • Primal

“Kobe is the MVP of anal rape at Colorado spas.”

Well the fact that he was never convicted of rape and that woman’s idiotic decision to call it that and accuse him of it shows your ignorance. If there wasn’t an out of court settlement that women’s life would of been totally destroyed. I bet you dollars to donuts that that woman is embarassed to go out in public now. Im sure the 10,000 women Wilt Chamberlin boned thoughout his life aren’t even regretting what they did.

  • adam

told you the price was crazy ;] 3-1 baby!

  • FYI with reference to the use of clips in Bigger, Stronger, Faster * in the Q&A at Hot Docs director Chris Bell said that what was used was done through fair use for documentary films.

It was a fantastic film, and great to hear you guys review it!

  • Interesting, thanks for the info Shannon!

  • Sean can you somehow re-implement a link to the ‘Show Notes’ section of the website? The only way to access it now is to click “Film Junk Podcast” and then click on the show notes link in the latest show. Show Notes is the easiest way to look through old shows to listen to one of them, and I miss it being readily accesible.

And I leave the comment here, because the link to the latest show is broken (from the Show Notes section of the site. Mindboggling stuff I know).

  • Yeah I noticed that problem too. I’ll try and figure out a way to get a link back in there sometime this week.
