I suppose it goes without saying that the MTV Movie Awards are a complete joke, and just about the farthest thing you can get from any sort of true critical evaluation of the past year in film. That said, a lot of people do watch them, and I thought some people might get a kick out of seeing what this year’s nominees look like (National Treasure: Book of Secrets is up for Best Movie… ’nuff said). At the very least, you can rest assured that you’re already familiar with all of the choices. My favourite category though is “Best Summer Movie of the Year… So Far”. Now there’s something worth giving out an award for.
