Jay is Out of Town: Expect Film Junk to Remain Exactly the Same.

newyork.jpg
Just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be in NYC and Boston over the next three days, so don’t be surprised if you see no posts from me. In other words, Film Junk will be exactly the same. Also, this week has been insanely hectic for both Gregory and myself, so we didn’t get a chance to record an episode of the Film Junk podcast. So for all of you Film Junkies jonzin’ for your fix, make sure to stay tuned for our triumphant return this Sunday. (Or Monday.) We’ll have lots to discuss and it will be a joyous occasion. Make sure to send in your Junk Mail. I’d like to see the next show really heavy in listener mail. CIAO DARLINGS!

  • You bastard.

  • Just kidding. Enjoy the big apple, or as I call it, the bigger, better Philadelphia.

  • So his name IS Gregory! I knew it. You should go by Gregory, that would throw so many people off.

  • Damnit, where’s a message board when you need one??

Sorry about the downtime guys, but we’ll be back to full operating capacity again in a couple days. I’m sure there will be LOTS of stuff to discuss.

  • Greg

So..you knew my name was Gregory, eh? That’s some nice deduction, Sherlock.

Have you figured out that people named Mike and Pete are actually Michael and Peter yet?

  • Hey man, I was completely floored by Jay not actually being named Jason, so at this point, I don’t know what to expect. No reason to be an asshole.

  • So wait– Jay’s name is Jay? Like on his birth certificate it says “Jay”?

  • Itchy-Finger

My middle name is Jay. Not that anyone cares.

  • theman

    You son of a bitch!

  • brentsbutt

Greg’s middle name has been changed to “HMV”…

  • Ben

I actually visited Canada for the first time last week. I had to go to Leamington for business. While on my way, I stopped at a mall in Windsor to kill some time and low and behold there was an HMV. A smile came across my face as I browsed and thought of all the HMV stories I’ve heard on the podcast. The Canadian mall in general was a trip. There is much more in Mall competition of stores up there, for instance Cinema 1 is seemingly the same store as HMV and is RIGHT next to the mall. Also, there were literally 3 stores that had the word “Urban” as a prefix. There was Urban Behavior, Urban Trade and (of course) Urban Planet. I was so tripped out!!!

  • Itchy-Finger

More Mall competition? Must just be where you are from Ben. Utah, Montana?

  • AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I NEED FILM JUNK!!! Just kidding jay, although i really do miss you guys. Reed, can’t you give us some of your commentary on movie news? Your part of the film junk crew to right? And dosen’t goon have the power to post? I can vaugley (is that how you spell it?) remember goon posting movie reviews. Have fun in boston man.

  • Hold on, Seans been posting reviews, so i guess that means film junks back? I take back my previous comment.

  • Reed Farrington

I thought Hollywood and Bollywood shutdown whenever Sean and Jay go on vacation. Nothing’s happening in movie news, is there?

Seriously, Sean didn’t leave instructions about updating Film Junk while he was away. I don’t think I would accept the task of updating the movie news anyway. Just not my thing.

I thought the U.S. had HMV. I also thought the U.S. had Smarties, but apparently they don’t. Never realized we had so many stores with Urban in their names, Ben. The Americans took over our Tim Horton donut shops. I think they’ll take over our Canadian Tire stores next.

  • Reed Farrington

Sean’s not back, yet. He’s being a roving correspondent. Must be boring out in California. Just kidding. Sean’s just dedicated.

  • Ben

No, I’m not from Montana or Utah. I just had never been to a mall with three stores next to each other selling the same thing with the word in the title. That is crazy! What do Canadians know about “Urban behavior” and “Urban Trade” anyways? Its hardly an “Urban Planet” up there.

  • Dear Film Junk,

Why do you suck donkey ballz so copiously and with such enthusiasm?

    Sincirely,
    The Internet

  • Itchy-Finger

Gotta love the wrongful spelling of sincerely.
