seems his story had a lot to do with him being just plain pathetic, that his mutations weren’t working out positively or as a weapon like other mutants do – he was someone who was taken advantage of and then led astray, and can only do anything with actual given weapons, and nothing to do with his powers..

so i guess some similar storyline of him being weak is in order?

Otherwise, I don’t see the point. He’s a weakling half-bird half-man whose powers do essentially nothing for him aside from make him hideous. Yes, during the last arc of Grant Morrison’s X-Men run Beak is a badass in a post-apocalyptic future, but I can’t imagine that this is the version of the character we’ll be seeing in the movie. I really, really, really hope that Beak isn’t a little wuss of a character who Wolverine carts around with him for the entire film because he feels sorry for him and tries to teach him how to hold his own, but that vision keeps burrowing it’s way into my subconscious.
