Henrik, I must admit not understanding what you meant by "Star Trek-enunciated." I guess Star Trek-inundated makes more sense.

deadpaul, not to get all geeky on you, but I think the Prime Directive has to do with non-interference with primitive cultures although maybe you're right and there's a special clause about not tampering with the timeline. Wait, didn't DS9 introduce a special Federation division set up to investigate violations to do with temporal disturbances?

I didn't think writing a Star Trek column would make me cooler than Greg, but I appreciate the sentiment nonetheless. Covering film festivals like Greg does seems way cooler. Maybe we should send Greg to a Star Trek convention.

If current Reed interacted with 1968 Reed, could that be a violation of the "Prime Directive?" Reed, this column is further proof that you are way cooler than Greg. I loved your cameo in the year end video podcast, plus Greg's beard made him look too much like Brent Butt.
And thanks for making me think of "Lost in Space" I haven't thought of that show in a long time.

Thx, Cain.

Henrik, you're such a harsh critic, but I appreciate your brutal honesty. I didn't think I could lose marks for writing in the 3rd person. Perhaps I got a little too creative for my 2nd post.

Right now, it takes me like 2 or so hours to compose a column. I'd never make it as a news journalist.

I'll get around to commenting on STTNG eventually. There may be a ground swell to include Picard in the upcoming film.

Yeah that title is something that ONLY ONE SUCH AS I could come up with ;).

This is great stuff. Honestly, the 3rd person stuff makes my toes curl, but I think if this had not been in the 3rd person, it would be close to a 10/10 post. For now, 7/10 will suffice. Loved the structure, and there was actually also a good comment on the attempt at inducing causality. That's the stuff that your Star Trek-enunciated megabrain (I picture you writing these in an Nth degree-style machine. But how dare I bring up the - superior - ST:TNG? Ask Stan Bush), can provide that no other place can.
