How to Lose Friends and Alienate People Trailer Starring Simon Pegg

Well now here’s a book I actually have read, and I’ve been pretty excited about the big screen adaptation ever since they announced that Simon Pegg was going to star in it. How to Lose Friends and Alienate People is a hilarious memoir by journalist Toby Young documenting the time he spent working for Vanity Fair where he proceeded to get into all kinds of awkward situations and make enemies out of just about every celebrity/rich person in New York. With Curb Your Enthusiasm director Robert Weide at the helm, it should be a fantastic adaptation, and will provide a fun twist on the world we see in Sex and the City, The Devil Wears Prada and Ugly Betty, for example. The teaser trailer has just gone online over at The Sun. All I can say is that Jeff Bridges looks downright brilliant as Clayton Harding (aka the fictional version of Young’s former boss, editor Graydon Carter). How to Lose Friends and Alienate People hits theatres in the U.K. on October 3rd, 2008; the U.S. release is still TBA.
