It looks like the rumours are true, a new Jackass movie will arrive by the end of the year, constructed primarily from Jackass Number Two stunts that were left on the cutting room floor. However, a while back a couple of YouTube videos leaked online that would seem to indicate that they were shooting some new footage for the flick as well.

DVD Active brings news of an official release date and specs for Jackass 2.5, which will be released direct to DVD next month. The disc includes a featurette on the making of the video game (yawn), a hot link to Jackass World (can’t we get this online already?), a photo gallery (BORING), and easter eggs (why bother hiding the only decent bonus material?). Well, I guess I’d rather have an entire new film made up of deleted scenes than just a bunch of random clips thrown as extras on the original Jackass Number Two DVD release. Sounds like this will make great family viewing for the holiday season. Look for it in stores on December 26th.
