If, like me, you’re not a big fan of Woody Allen’s comedic stylings, but still appreciate his talent as a director, here’s something you might want to check out. A trailer has gone online for his newest film, and it looks to be quite the opposite of the typical light-hearted romantic comedies he is known for. I knew he had a wide variety of genres under his belt, but I certainly wouldn’t have guessed this was a Woody Allen film if I didn’t know ahead of time. Cassandra’s Dream looks to be a tense and sexy crime thriller that stars Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell. They play two brothers who become enemies after turning to crime to help solve their financial problems. The movie is due to be released in select theatres by The Weinstein Company on November 30, 2007. Check out the trailer below and see what you think.
