Full 10,000 B.C. Trailer Now Online

As we mentioned yesterday, the full trailer for Roland Emmerich’s 10,000 B.C. has now gone online over at Yahoo!. It’s still only considered a “teaser” I suppose (it’s only a minute and 15 seconds long), but we do get a pretty good idea of what to expect from the movie. The story centers on a “young mammoth hunter’s journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe”. Since it’s a Roland Emmerich movie and all, I kept hoping to see a meteor come down from space and destroy everything, but so far no dice. One thing we don’t know is whether or not any of the characters speak, or if they speak a language we are familiar with. The obvious movie that comes to mind for comparison is Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto, although I’m assuming this may be a bit less bloody. They seem to have gone the route of casting mostly unknowns in the film, which may have been a stylistic choice, or it may just have been to save money for the special effects. Actually, I’m betting on the latter case. 10,000 B.C. hits theatres on March 7, 2008. Watch the trailer now over at Yahoo! (linked below).
