Henry Rollins Stars in Wrong Turn 2
Former Black Flag frontman turned solo musician/writer Henry Rollins is no stranger to the world of acting. The angry punk rocker seems to have mellowed a little with age, and he now finds himself in an unlikely situation, living in L.A. and rubbing shoulders with celebrities even though he isn’t necessarily a huge name himself. He’s gotten by in recent years by doing spoken word tours, often filled with anecdotes of his latest adventures in showbiz, as he lives on the fringes of Hollywood. Now it looks like he’ll soon have another great story to tell, as Rollins has landed his first lead role (as far as I know) in a somewhat dubious project — a direct-to-video sequel to the 2003 horror flick Wrong Turn. The original was about a family of cannibalistic mountain men who hunt down trespassers in the remote West Virginia woods they call home. The sequel will be directed by Joe Lynch, from a screenplay written by Turi Meyer and Al Septien (who previously wrote Leprechaun 2, Candyman: Day of the Dead, and the Carrot Top comedy Chairman of the Board!). Oh Henry… what have you gotten yourself into now? Rollins also currently hosts his own talk show on IFC called The Henry Rollins Show.
