A trailer has popped up over at Apple for Andy Garcia’s first major directorial debut, a movie called The Lost City. It paints a historically accurate picture of Garcia’s native Cuba, during a time of transition from the rule of dictator Fulgencio Batista to Fidel Castro. Focusing on the story of a night club owner in Havana during the 50’s, the movie is beautifully shot and stars Garcia himself, in addition to Dustin Hoffman, Bill Murray and Inés Sastre. Just reading the movie’s description I wasn’t that interested, but after watching the trailer it looks quite good.
