Tarantino Developing TV Series With Johnny Knoxville?
The flow of Hollywood talent moving from the big screen to the small screen shows no signs of letting up, with Quentin Tarantino being the latest big name movie director rumoured to be developing a new TV series. Of course, Tarantino is no stranger to television; the man is a self-avowed couch potato and American Idol addict, and last year he directed the season finale of CSI. While shooting the CSI episode, he had remarked that he would be interested in doing a show of his own. Well, now it looks like he might get his wish, and who should be starring in the pilot but none other than former MTV poster boy Johnny Knoxville. Rest assured, however, this is no Jackass spin-off. The show is supposedly a serious drama that will be pitched to cable networks such as HBO and FX within the next few months. Tarantino is developing the show with Anastasia Brown, who previously worked with both Tarantino and Knoxville on the movie Daltry Calhoun (which Tarantino executive produced). It should be interesting to see what comes out of this, as I find it hard to believe anyone would pass on a show that has Tarantino’s name on it (even if it does star Johnny Knoxville).
