March Of The Penguins Team To Film Rockumentary

You might wonder what one could possibly do to follow up an Oscar-winning documentary about penguins, but the production team behind March of the Penguins already have the answer. This time they’re packing up to study some wildlife in the good ol’ U.S. of A., specifically a French rock band by the name of Amen Birdmen. Producers Yves Darondeau, Christophe Lioud and Emmanuel Priou will track the band as they tour America, hoping to capture either a great success story on film… or something else. “If they fail, the cameras will be there to capture their Icarus-like fall.” The movie is being directed by Yannis Mangematin (not Penguins’ director Luc Jacquet), and although there may be a little less appeal in the subject they’ve chosen this time, who knows what may come of it. Meanwhile, you can check out Amen Birdmen’s website and listen to some of their music; for the record they seem pretty dedicated to early 90’s rock.

these guys could have thought of a better idea for a documentary. dont think that this will be as good as march of the penguins.

  • Heh, I was kinda waiting for somebody else to comment on this just I knew what it was really pertaining to.

I’ve suggested a few ideas about “band” documentaries, but I don’t want to give away the ideas here just in case they are still salvagable.
