Spaceballs Sequel To Be Animated TV Series

We’ve been hearing for a while now that Mel Brooks was looking into the possibility of doing a Spaceballs sequel. And why shouldn’t he want to bring Star Wars spoofs and other sci-fi gags to a whole new generation? Not to mention, with the success of things like the Scary Movie series, it could have a big paycheck behind it too. Now, I just stumbled across a news story reporting that there is a Spaceballs animated TV series in development that may or may not be a replacement for Spaceballs 2. This could be old news, but it’s the first I heard of it. An hour-long pilot and 13 half-hour episodes have been ordered, with production slated to start in the second half of 2005. Brooks and Rainer Soehnlein will executive produce, Thomas Meehan (Spaceballs co-writer) will help produce the pilot and supervise the writing. Brooks himself will voice the characters President Skroob and Yogurt.

  • Ive never seen the animated series.
however i think that a spaceballs 2 should have been done also.
the movie could been released at the same time as the tv show therefor permoting each other and the tv series could start after the sequal finishs.
althoug john candy will betough to replace.
and we can only hope that all the orginal cast would return thats why you went with animated you took the easy way. i think with morenis and pullman you could do well in the box office because they both are big names now.

i know that the chances of anyone important see this is slim but im trying anyway you dont have to write back just think about making the movie ill know when the filn comes out whether you listen or not.
