We already knew that Steven Soderbergh was working on a movie about the Panama Papers for Netflix that will likely be released later in the year, but this week they have dropped a trailer for a second Soderbergh project that will arrive next month. High Flying Bird stars André Holland as a sports agent who, upon finding his livelihood threatened by an NBA lockout, decides to take on a risky business proposition in order to put the sport back in the hands of the players. Written by Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), this is a sports drama that looks to take place mostly off the court, delving more into the business side of things and the power structures of professional sports. High Flying Bird co-stars Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan and Bill Duke and it arrives on Netflix on Feb. 8th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

So, he’s shooting on phones again. I got it in Unsane, but I’m not sure what it brings to this sort of movie, other than him just liking working with it.
