2018 Junkers’ Choice Award Winners

2018junkerschoice

After finishing off our annual year in review, here’s the part where you guys get to have your say… it’s time to announce the winners of the 2018 Junkers’ Choice Awards! We picked five nominees for several different categories and then asked you to vote on the winners. You obliged. If I’m being honest, there weren’t really any surprises here and the top vote-getters in almost every category won by a landslide. That being said, it is always interesting to see the results of the write-in votes for Best Movie of the Year and Biggest Disappointment. Without giving anything away, it’s pretty clear that Jay did some heavy tampering on the Best Movie voting this year, resulting in our first ever tie! Check out the full results after the jump and let us know what you think.

“mandy” is tied for best movie of the year, but clearly loses best action to “mission impossible”. does that mean people didn’t think of “mandy” as an action movie? otherwise it doesn’t make much sense.

  • Sean

It does seem like that is probably the case. Or at least M:I – Fallout excels as strictly as an action movie. We did struggle with where to put Mandy. Maybe horror or thriller would have been better.

  • Jameson

Mandy and First Reformed tied at number 1 is glorious.

  • RockJoker

It’s more of a horror movie, but not really. Yeah…

  • Dinobot2

How was anyone disappointed with The Predator? Everyone’s expectation for that movie should have been “dogshit” from the start.
