Green Book Takes 2018 Top Prize from the National Board of Review

So far it’s shaping up to be a two movie race at the Oscars this year with Peter Farrelly’s Green Book and Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born looking to be the early favourites across most major categories. This week the National Board of Review announced their 2018 winners and it was Green Book that came away with Best Film while A Star is Born took Best Director, Actor, Actress and Supporting Actor. Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk also picked up a couple of awards. It is worth noting that the NBR (a group of New York-based academics, filmmakers and film critics) doesn’t have much overlap with the Academy and often chooses a different Best Picture, so make of that what you will. Check out the full list of winners after the jump and let us know what you think.
