The Little Drummer Girl Trailer: Park Chan-wook Adapts John Le Carré

littledrummergirl

Following up on the success of The Night Manager, AMC and the BBC are once again teaming up for another spy mini-series based on a John Le Carré novel. This one is going back another decade to his book The Little Drummer Girl, which revolves around a British actress who gets caught up in an Israeli plot to kill a Palestinian terrorist. The story was previously adapted for the big screen in a 1984 film starring Diane Keaton, but this six-episode series stars Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth), Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Shannon. Perhaps most interesting of all is the fact that all of the episodes are directed by Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden). The Little Drummer Girl premieres on the BBC on Oct. 28th and on AMC on Nov. 19th; check out a couple of trailers after the jump and see what you think.

Looking forward to this. BTW, “Snowpiercer” isn’t a Park Chan-wook film, old boy. What have you been smoking in your Bong Joon-ho?

Haha oops. I was accidentally looking at his producer section on IMDb and didn’t think twice.

  • I am so sick of Alexander Skarsgard. Seems omnipresent like Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac.
