Captain Marvel Trailer

After debuting the first batch of photos a week or two ago, Marvel has finally unveiled an official trailer for the next MCU entry, Captain Marvel. The movie stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a U.S. Air Force pilot who becomes a powerful superhero when her DNA fuses with an alien during an accident. This isn’t an origin story, however, instead it focuses on her returning to Earth a few years later and grappling with memories of her former life. The movie is set in the ’90s (established brilliantly within the first few seconds of the trailer) and it also features younger versions of Nick Fury and Agent Coulson (among others). Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson) and it hits theatres on March 8th. Check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

That old lady on the train probably deserved it.

Agreed on the opening Sean that blockbuster was the perfect way to illustrate the 90’s! LOL

Trailer looked good too! : ) Can’t wait!

why do marvel heroes, especially the women, always have such awfully stiff and artificial hairdos, with locks and everything? it looks horrible.

Frank is gonna haaaaaate the use of Blockbuster in this.

  • Lori Cerny

I miss the days when characters like Vasquez (Jenette Goldstein) and Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) from Aliens (1986) could be strong, yet distinctly female.

  • Tahir Abbas

Apart from the opening Blockbuster scene…..it didn’t get my pulse racing.

I’ll be honest i’ve been digging alot of the MCU films lately, but this looks kind of dull. And I’m loving your sass about the shoehorned 90’s moments Sean, they are truly brutal.
