Arrested Development: Season 5 Trailer

Well we knew it was coming at some point this year but this week Netflix has surprised everyone by announcing that the fifth season of Arrested Development will arrive in just a few short weeks. They’ve also released a trailer for the new season which shows a lot more of the cast back together again, hopefully addressing everyone’s biggest complaint about season 4. From what we can tell, some of the plot threads in the new season will include Lindsay running for congress and the entire Bluth family receiving an award for Family of the Year. It certainly seems promising… but is it too good to be true? Arrested Development Season 5 premieres on May 29th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

FYI, Netflix also released a remix of season 4 on Friday. Apparently Mitchell Hurwitz re-cut it himself to be more in line with the previous seasons, I guess to appease all the haters of the original season 4 cut. It’s now 22 episodes at 21 mins instead of the previous 15 at 31-33 mins. I haven’t watched it yet, but have heard some positive reviews. It’s called Arrested Development: Fateful Consequences.
