Cargo Trailer: Martin Freeman Faces a Zombie Apocalypse

cargo

Over the past few years, we have continued to see some interesting zombie and viral outbreak scenarios on the big screen despite the fact that the genre has arguably been wearing thin for a while now. Cargo features another unique twist that is kind of like the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Maggie but in reverse: it stars Martin Freeman as a father stranded in the Australian outback who has become infected and is struggling to find a way for his one-year-old daughter to survive before he fully turns. Produced by Kristina Ceyton (The Babadook) and directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke, this is a follow up to their 2013 short film of the same that attracted a lot of attention online. Cargo is coming to Netflix on May 18th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

If you’ve seen the short this is based on, yeah this is gonna be a tear jerker.

  • The Aussie outback looks great, could be a good role for Martin Freeman, Babadook was awesome, so long as this is not a tv series, I’m in.
Funny how both of the Office Jims are keeping themselves busy.

finally a good role for MF again.
