Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot Trailer Starring Jonah Hill and Joaquin Phoenix

Although we’re still a few months away from the release of Lynne Ramsay’s Cannes hit You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix, Phoenix has another film debuting at Sundance this month that is also being distributed by Amazon Studios. Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot is directed by Gus Van Sant and it is based on the memoir by John Callahan, an artist and musician who became a quadriplegic following a car accident. Fortunately, his creative spark and dark sense of humour allowed him to launch a new career as a cartoonist. Jonah Hill co-stars as Callahan’s friend and rehab sponsor, looking eerily similar to Wyatt Russell here. The supporting cast also includes Rooney Mara, Jack Black, Carrie Brownstein, Udo Kier, Beth Ditto and Kim Gordon. Will this be a return to form for Gus Van Sant? Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot hits select theatres on May 11th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Jonah Hill is freaking me out with this change in his appearance. Not sure why, but seeming his chest hair is irksome.

That looks pretty good. Weird after avoiding his movies for ten years.
