New to Theatres This Weekend: Coco, Darkest Hour, Call Me by Your Name

This year’s Thanksgiving weekend is pretty light on new movies in wide release with Disney looking to easily dominate once again just like they did last year with Moana. Pixar seems to be earning the usual stellar reviews for their latest animated film Coco after the reception for Cars 3 was slightly less enthusiastic earlier this year. The only other new release playing in a significant number of theatres is the Charles Dickens biopic The Man Who Invented Christmas, which is debuting on just over 600 screens. In limited release, we also have Joe Wright’s Winston Churchill biopic Darkest Hour starring Gary Oldman and the acclaimed indie drama Call Me by Your Name, while Dan Gilroy’s Roman J. Israel, Esq. is expanding nationwide. What will you be watching this weekend?
