Monday Morning Box Office Report: Thor: Ragnarok Continues to Crush

As expected, Thor: Ragnarok easily bested the competition in box office combat for the second weekend in a row, adding another $56.6 million to its total domestically and $76 million internationally. The movie has already topped the worldwide totals for both of the previous Thor movies and it should keep making money well into December. In second and third place respectively, Daddy’s Home 2 and Murder on the Orient Express also put in solid showings, earning $30 million and $28.2 million despite negative reviews. A Bad Moms Christmas fell to fourth with $11.5 million while Jigsaw rounded things out in a distant fifth. Elsewhere, Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird seems to be lighting it up in limited release, jumping into tenth place after a small expansion. The movie earned $1.25 million from just 37 theatres and will continue to roll out further next week.
