12 Strong Trailer Starring Chris Hemsworth

When producer Jerry Bruckheimer parted ways with Disney a few years back, it seemed like the stage was set for him to return to R-rated action movies with new Bad Boys, Top Gun and Beverly Hills Cop sequels in the works. None of those projects have gone into production as of yet, but in the meantime, Bruckheimer’s first post-Disney film is almost upon us. It is an Afghanistan war film called 12 Strong: The Declassified True Story of the Horse Soldiers and it revolves around the first U.S. Special Forces team to fight the Taliban on their home turf… while riding horses, no less. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Wind River director Taylor Sheridan and Rob Riggle of all people, plus it also stars Michael Shannon and Michael Pena, which kinda makes it an alternate universe World Trade Center sequel. 12 Strong is directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolai Fuglsig and it hits theatres on Jan. 19th, 2018. Rob Riggle was actually a marine before becoming an actor. I’m kind of surprised he hasn’t been in more war movies because of that fact. This looks pretty forgettable though.

  • Sean

That makes a little more sense. I thought it was just another comedic actor trying to break into action like Chris Pratt, John Krasinski, etc.
