The Babysitter Trailer: McG Makes a Horror-Comedy for Netflix

With a new season of Stranger Things on the way, two Stephen King movies and the debut of David Fincher’s Mindhunter this month, Netflix has quite a bit of creepy content in store for subscribers this Halloween. If that’s not enough, they’ve also got an upcoming horror-comedy from McG of all people. The Babysitter revolves around Cole (Judah Lewis), a young boy who has a crush on his babysitter Bee (Samara Weaving). When he stays up late one night to spy on her and her friends, he is horrified to discover that they are actually cold-blooded killers. McG’s track record may be a bit questionable and he may not be known for horror, but at the very least this doesn’t seem to be holding back on the gore. The Babysitter co-stars Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Andrew Bachelor and Hana Mae Lee and it arrives on Netflix on Friday Oct. 13th. Check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

I guess this is attempt to break out of directors jail. Things have not been pretty since that terrible Costner flick he directed a few years ago. He’s been regulated to TV eps lately. I may give this one a watch, but only because I can do so from the comfort of my couch.
