New to Theatres This Weekend: The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Logan Lucky, Patti Cake$

Two major releases hit theatres this weekend but in keeping with late summer tradition neither one is expected to put much of a dent in the box office. R-rated action comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard could challenge Annabelle: Creation for the top spot although even the star power of Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson might not be enough to give it a win. Steven Soderbergh’s heist comedy Logan Lucky also seems to be on track for a somewhat inauspicious debut despite a star-studded cast. In select theatres, we also have the Sundance hit Patti Cake$, indie dramedy Lemon, and Justin Chon’s L.A. Riots drama Gook. What will you be watching this weekend?

Saw Wind River last night and absolutely loved it. Was really impressed with Renner’s performance. Are you guys planning to review this on the show at some point? This Tyler Sheridan fellow is turning into quite the filmmaker.

I’m not sure that a group review will happen while it’s in theatres but it is playing near me currently and I would definitely like to see it.
