Leatherface Trailer: A Texas Chainsaw Prequel from the Directors of Inside

It’s hard to think of a movie franchise that has become as convoluted as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series over the years (The Terminator probably comes close), spanning seven movies and almost as many creative teams and continuities. Still, the power of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original continues to fuel interest in the series and now there is an eighth installment on the way that purports to be a direct prequel to the original. This one is seemingly going the Rob Zombie route by shunning the Leatherface mystique in favour of a backstory that envisions him as one of four deranged teenagers who escape a mental hospital and go on a killing spree. Directed by French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside), the movie also stars Stephen Dorff as a Texas Ranger who is pursuing them in order to exact revenge for the death of his daughter. Leatherface arrives on DirecTV on Sept. 21st before hitting select theatres and VOD on Oct. 20th; check out the red band trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

If you boys make a nine eleven premium I will eat fucking chips with a grin on my face while I listen to it. I could give a flying fuck about a country who elected Trump for president. I would be grinning ear to ear while I listen to that premium and I would pay double my price for it.

I promise one record here to pay $20 for a 9/11 premium. Please make one and I will fucking thank you till the day I die
