Blade Runner 2049 Trailer #2

bladerunner2049

This week Warner Brothers have unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, Blade Runner 2049, giving us a bit more to chew on without getting into many plot specifics. There is a bit more action here, although it is unclear if this will be representative of the final film. I’m still not quite sold on Jared Leto’s character, but the same dreary, dreamy atmosphere is present and the visuals continue to be very much in the vein of Roger Deakins’ gorgeous work on Skyfall. Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve and hits theatres on Oct. 6th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Loving the visuals. On that front it’ll deliver, and Johannsson will surely deliver some good music too. I had a feeling we might see that scene with the pot on the stove, was originally gonna open Blade Runner but didn’t make it to the final draft obviously.

It’s not as bad as the last trailer. I’m still not convinced this movie needs to exist yet.

Of course it doesn’t, no movie needs to exist.

    Vangelis
would be better….combined with a 1987-89 Front 242 score for some scenes. But what the heck. The Zimmering continues,
first a Zimmerised Red Dawn remake score now this.

Johannsson is not one of Zimmer’s boys as far as I know, got his own thing going

The Frank Sinatra hologram makes me a little bit nervous.

Have my Thursday reserved seat ticket, now I need to request one of those captioning devices. Honestly, I could barely understand anything said in the trailer.
