Amazon’s The Tick: Season 1 Trailer

theticktrailer

After the success of last year’s pilot episode led to a full series order, this week Amazon has debuted the trailer for the first full season of the latest incarnation of Ben Edlund’s The Tick. The show stars Peter Serafinowicz as the nigh invulnerable, mostly oblivious blue arachnid and Griffin Newman as his sidekick Arthur. We didn’t get to see Arthur’s moth costume in the pilot, but it is finally unveiled here along with a slightly redesigned look for The Tick himself. There is also more action showcased than we saw in the pilot, although overall it still looks a bit on the “thrifty” side if you ask me. The Tick: Season 1 will premiere in two six-episode chunks with the first six episodes arriving on Aug. 25th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Seems low budget, and I thought other iterations were better because it’s an absurd world of absurd super heroes. This gives me the impression that it will be an ordinary “gritty” city with an absurd character in the mix.
