The Foreigner Trailer Starring Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan may be best known for his zany action-comedies (particularly in North America) but as he gets older he is slowly turning towards more dramatic projects that contain brief flashes of action instead (not unlike a certain other aging action star who used to be the governor of California). His next English language film finds him going the Liam Neeson route as he plays a father who loses his daughter in an IRA bombing and takes it upon himself to seek revenge. Based on a novel called The Chinaman by Stephen Leather, the movie will be released under the much more PC title The Foreigner and it is also directed by Martin Campbell, reuniting him with his Goldeneye star Pierce Brosnan. The Foreigner hits theatres on Oct. 13th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

This looks a lot better than what I was expecting.

Agreed! definitely looks cool! though in the same vain of high action revenge movies. Also it’s weird seeing Chan look older!

Also, it’s weird seeing Chan without a smile!

Must say, his English pronunciation has gotten much better.

    Damn! This looks good!

Looks awesome! Let’s hope they slip ‘Cold As Ice’ by Foreigner in there somewhere.
