Daddy’s Home 2 Trailer Starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg

Daddy’s Home was a pretty solid hit for Paramount back in 2015, earning $242 million worldwide and becoming Will Ferrell’s biggest live-action movie to date. The movie stars Ferrell as an uptight stepfather who clashes with his wife’s cool ex-husband (played by Mark Wahlberg) as they compete for the affection of his kids. Now they’re bringing out a sequel and adding more dads to the mix with Mel Gibson and John Lithgow playing Dusty and Brad’s own polar opposite fathers respectively. Daddy’s Home 2 is once again directed by Sean Anders (That’s My Boy, Horrible Bosses 2) and it hits theatres on Nov. 10th. Check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Gibson?? Well, it’s an Xmas movie, so Jewish folks won’t be watching it anyway. No need to boycott.

I interviewed Sean Anders around the time his 2005 indie comedy Never Been Thawed was being released and shortly before his move to Hollywood. He started off by asking about comedies I enjoyed. Napoleon Dynamite was mentioned and met with a disapproving “mhmm,” but he perked up when I brought up the Farrelly Bros. by name. He was acting like a real KOC.

Man, they made this one quick.

Isn’t Ferrel playing the new husband and Walhberg is the cool dad in that first movie?

Oops, thanks for the correction. Never saw the original but I guess that makes a lot more sense.
