New to Theatres This Weekend: King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Snatched, The Wall

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 should continue to dominate multiplexes this weekend as two new movies duke it out for second place. Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is looking to relaunch a new franchise but it doesn’t have the star power to match something like Sherlock Holmes or even The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Fox is also releasing the comedy Snatched starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, which could be a surprise hit thanks to some clever Mother’s Day weekend timing. In select theatres, we also have Doug Liman’s small scale thriller The Wall starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena along with the L.A. car culture crime drama Lowriders and the Terry Jones comedy Absolutely Anything starring Simon Pegg. What will you be watching this weekend?

What are you guys planning on reviewing on the show? I’d like to see The Wall but don’t think it is playing anywhere close.

  • Sean

I believe it will be King Arthur.

The theaters near me actually have less showings of ‘King Arthur’ than ‘Beauty and the Beast’ or ‘Boss Baby’ which have been out for over a month. That’s confidence in its Box Office potential.

What the heck happened with the north american release for Absolutely Anything? I’m pretty sure I saw that back in 2015.
