If you’re starting to feel like all of the R-rated comedies coming out these days are the exact same movie, here’s one that seems to be switching things up a little bit, at least in terms of setting. The Little Hours is the latest film from writer-director Jeff Baena (Joshy, Life After Beth) and it revolves around a group of nuns at a medieval convent who face temptation head on when a hunky young servant is hired to help out. It is possible that this movie is relying entirely on the shock of seeing horny nuns swearing up a storm, but with a cast that includes Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Kate Micucci, Dave Franco, John C. Reilly, Nick Offerman, Molly Shannon and Fred Armisen, it’s hard to imagine this being anything other than hilarious. You know, assuming it doesn’t like… offend you or something. The Little Hours hits select theatres on June 30th; check out the red band trailer after the jump and see what you think.
