War Machine Teaser Trailer Starring Brad Pitt

Here’s the first trailer for yet another high profile Netflix original movie coming later this year called War Machine (and no, it is not a Marvel movie). Directed by David Michôd (Animal Kingdom) and based on a book by Michael Hastings, it stars Brad Pitt as General Glenn McMahon, a thinly veiled version of Stanley McChrystal, the former U.S. military general who lived like a rock star while commanding NATO forces in Afghanistan only to be brought down by a magazine expose. Described as an “absurdist tale” and a “pitch-black war story”, the movie co-stars Tilda Swinton, Emory Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Anthony Michael Hall and Topher Grace, but mostly it features Pitt giving us more of that patented Southern drawl previously showcased in Inglourious Basterds and Fury. War Machine arrives on Netflix on May 26th; check out the teaser trailer after the jump and see what you think.

  • I like Pitt most of the time, but he does that accent a lot and it’s not getting any better.
