The Bad Batch Trailer: Ana Lily Amirpour’s Post-Apocalyptic Cannibal Thriller

thebadbatch

Here’s the first trailer for The Bad Batch, Ana Lily Amirpour’s follow-up to her stylish vampire flick, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. This looks to be another slow burn, but also a visual feast with a synth-heavy soundtrack. The story takes place in the not-too-distant future where American citizens are exiled to a desert wasteland when they are no longer of use to society, becoming prey for roving bands of cannibals. With a cast that includes Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Giovanni Ribisi, Keanu Reeves, Diego Luna and Jim Carrey, this will be one of the first releases for Tim League’s new distribution company Neon. The Bad Batch hits select theatres on June 23rd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
