After making a name for himself with breakout roles in Jeremy Saulnier’s first few films Murder Party, Blue Ruin and Green Room, actor Macon Blair has already decided to step behind the camera as well. His directorial debut is called I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore and it debuted at Sundance last week to strong reviews before it heads to Netflix next month. The movie stars Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness, Heavenly Creatures) as a depressed woman who teams up with her neighbor (Elijah Wood) to track down and take revenge on the thugs who burglarized her home. Soon, however, they find themselves in over their heads as they go up against a group of dangerous criminals (one of whom is played by The Jesus Lizard frontman David Yow). Based on this trailer, it seems to fall within the same wheelhouse as Saulnier’s films in that it looks tense, gruesome and also darkly comedic. I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore arrives on Netflix on Feb. 24th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
