New to Theatres This Weekend: Passengers, Assassin’s Creed, Sing

Happy Holidays everyone! Things are going to be a little slower than usual around here over the next week or so, but in the meantime, there are plenty of new movies hitting theatres (although maybe not as many highly anticipated movies as in previous years). The major releases hitting theatres this weekend include the sci-fi thriller Passengers starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed starring Michael Fassbender, R-rated comedy Why Him? starring Bryan Cranston and James Franco, and the animated musical Sing. Also opening in just a few theatres apiece, we have Martin Scorsese’s Silence, J.A. Bayona’s A Monster Calls, Peter Berg’s Patriots Day and Pedro Almodovar’s Julieta. What will you be watching over the holidays?
