New to Theatres This Weekend: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Collateral Beauty, Fences

There’s a new Star Wars movie arriving in theatres this weekend, and although that statement is slowly starting to lose a little bit of its lustre, there’s still plenty of excitement in the air. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is expected to bring in the biggest opening weekend of the year, but there is one A-list star brave enough to go head to head with it. That A-list star is Will Smith, who stars in the faux inspirational drama Collateral Beauty, which seems to be getting pretty terrible reviews across the board. Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester by the Sea is also expanding nationwide. In select theatres we have Denzel Washington’s Fences and the Patricia Highsmith adaptation A Kind of Murder starring Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel. What will you be watching this weekend? Feel free to get the Rogue One discussion started in the comments below.

I kinda wanna hate watch COLLATERAL BEAUTY cause I’m hearing it’s so awful you have to see it to believe it.

I have a bad feeling about this.

Reed will Love rogue one. Hope he joins the gang and ….not hates the movie. The most best possible note a movie could get from Reed is ….not so bad.

So lets hope for not so bad.

  • No one important

I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the Rogue One Podcast. I hope Reed makes an appearance. I hope Disney doesn’t feel the need to remind us constantly that this film is set just before Star Wars IV “A New Hope”. I certainly hope that Robot guy isn’t the new Jar Jar Binks. I fear the cringe may be strong with this one.

Ooof, rogue one is sooo bad. Filmjunk rightfully called out Force Awakens when everyone else was lying to themselves. Really curious what their review on this is gonna be, cause from where I’m sitting, this one was almost unwatchably boring
