The OA Trailer: A Netflix Original Series from Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij

With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting theatres this weekend, Netflix has kinda sorta thrown down the gauntlet by announcing the premiere of a new original series for this Friday as well. The OA comes from the creative team of Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, who previously collaborated on the films The Sound of My Voice and The East. Described as “a powerful, mind-bending tale about identity, human connection and the borders between life and death” this looks like another intriguing and enigmatic (and potentially half-baked) mystery that contains both spiritual and sci-fi elements. Either way it seems safe to assume that if you were a fan of Brit Marling’s previous work, this will be right up your alley. All eight episodes of The OA arrive on Dec. 16th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
