Monday Morning Box Office Report: Moana Feasts on Thanksgiving Leftovers

As expected, it was a pretty quiet weekend at the box office with Disney’s Moana easily hanging on at the top for a repeat victory. The movie earned another $28.4 million domestically and $32 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $177 million. In second place, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them added another $18.5 million, followed by Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival, which is turning out to have some pretty strong legs and is proving to be a solid hit for Paramount (it has now made $105 million on a $47 million budget). Allied and Doctor Strange rounded out the top 5. Elsewhere Blumhouse’s Incarnate debuted at #9 with just $2.7 million, which is not great even for a modestly budgeted horror film. Oscar hopeful Manchester by the Sea finished just outside the top 10 after expanding to 150 screens.
