Kong: Skull Island Trailer #2
Here’s the new trailer for Kong: Skull Island, which appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night along with star Tom Hiddleston. We haven’t seen anything from this movie since the Comic-Con trailer back in July, but there is plenty to see and discuss here. The movie continues to feel heavily inspired by Apocalypse Now and this trailer confirms it to take place in the ’70s. They also aren’t shy about showing off King Kong or some of the other creatures on Skull Island with King Kong’s 100 ft. frame essentially towering over everything else on the island (presumably so he will pose some sort of threat Godzilla in the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie). We also get our first look at John C. Reilly’s character, a man who has apparently been living on the island for a while now and clearly serves as comic relief. Kong: Skull Island is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) and it hits theatres on March 10th, 2017; check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
