New to Theatres This Weekend: Doctor Strange, Hacksaw Ridge, Loving

Now that Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is officially underway, it’s time for the introduction of another lesser known Marvel character with Doctor Strange. No matter how weird Strange may be, however, the strength of the Marvel brand and the star power of Benedict Cumberbatch should make this another huge hit for Disney (it’s already made $122 million overseas). Also hitting theatres this weekend we have Mel Gibson’s first movie in ten years, the ultraviolent WWII drama Hacksaw Ridge, and Dreamworks’ Trolls featuring the voices of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. In select theatres, we also have Jeff Nichols’ Loving starring Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga, and a pair of acclaimed documentaries: The Eagle Huntress and Peter and the Farm. What will you be watching this weekend?
