Following up on Hush and Stranger Things, Netflix has another original horror release heading our way just in time for Halloween. I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House is the second film by writer / actor / director Oz Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter), who also happens to be the son of Psycho star Anthony Perkins. The movie revolves around a young nurse named Lily (Ruth Wilson) who is hired to care for an aging horror novelist (Paula Prentiss) in her family’s 19th century farmhouse. Things start to get weird when Lily reads her latest book and begins to believe it contains clues tied to her own fate. The movie looks to be an atmospheric slow burn and it premiered at TIFF last month to mixed reviews. I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House co-stars Lucy Boynton and Bob Balaban and arrives on Netflix on Oct. 28th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
