Michael Moore Releases New Donald Trump Documentary Just in Time for U.S. Election

With the U.S. election now just three weeks away, it’s time for candidates to pull out all the stops and make one last attempt to influence voters. Major PR moves that are saved up for this crucial time are usually referred to as an “October surprise” and now this week Michael Moore has unveiled an October surprise of his own: a brand new documentary entitled Michael Moore in TrumpLand. He had been hinting that something was in the works over the past few days, but last night the movie officially premiered at the IFC Center in New York City and it has started its theatrical run as of now. The plot synopsis is as follows:

“See the film Ohio Republicans tried to shut down. Oscar-winner Michael Moore dives right into hostile territory with his daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand in the weeks before the 2016 election.”

Apparently he tried to perform the show at a theatre in Ohio, but they pulled out at the last minute because Moore was “too controversial.” Either way, you can now buy tickets to see the film via the IFC Center website and the movie will also be playing in Los Angeles this weekend. For the rest of us, it will supposedly be available on iTunes as of today, although there is no link as of yet. Will you be watching Michael Moore in TrumpLand and do you think it will have any effect on the outcome of the election?
