Poll Results: Best Batman

pollresultsbatman

Last week’s poll was a hard fought battle, but in the end, Film Junk readers decided that Christian Bale is still the definitive version of Batman on the big screen. He earned 30% of the votes, which certainly makes sense considering the amount of respect people have for Christoper Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Michael Keaton came in a pretty close second with 24% while Affleck managed to claim third place with 17%… not bad considering that a lot of people probably still haven’t had a chance to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Voice actor Kevin Conroy also pulled in quite a few votes, ending up in fourth place, while Adam West rounded out the top 5. Although the rest of the participants in the poll were mostly a formality, Val Kilmer still managed to snag a handful of votes. Do you agree with these results?

1. Christian Bale — 30%
2. Michael Keaton — 24%
3. Ben Affleck — 17%
4. Kevin Conroy — 14%
5. Adam West — 10%
6. Val Kilmer — 3%
7. George Clooney — 1%
8. Will Arnett — 1%
9. Lewis Wilson — 0%
10. Robert Lowery — 0%

    Keaton was robbed.

Agreed. Loved Nolan’s films, was always a bit annoyed with Bale’s hissing voice.

Happy to see Affleck faired pretty well. The original batman doesn’t hold up. Batman Returns though I really like. Not as a movie about Batman but as a movie about freaks.

It is not fair to compare a funny Batman, which is still a Batman, no matter what the dark it better fraction says, with a “unfunny/serious” Bale/Affleck, which is
also a Batman, no matter what the West fraction says.

Both are good, depending in what mood you are in. So lets all call it a draw and move on.
