2016 Razzie Winners: Fantastic Four and Fifty Shades of Grey Tie for Worst Picture

razzies

I suppose we can’t wrap up our awards season discussions without acknowledging the other major awards ceremony that took place over the weekend. The 36th Annual Razzie Awards were also announced on Saturday night and apparently they couldn’t decide which blockbuster they wanted to mock more, so they ended up giving Worst Picture to two films: Fantastic Four and Fifty Shades of Grey. That being said, Fifty Shades also won worst actor, worst actress, worst onscreen duo and worst screenplay, so I think it’s pretty clear who the real winner is. On the other hand, Stallone ended up with the Razzie Redeemer Award, which I’m sure will make up for the fact that he didn’t win an Oscar. What do you think… did the Razzies get it right this year or were there some major snubs? Check out the full list of winners / losers after the jump.

You could probably be pretty dismissive of these in a lot of ways – the caterer of 50 shades probably would have won worst caterer – but when you see a nomination for Rooney Mara in Pan which isn’t littering all the other categories you have to feel for her a little bit.
