36th Annual Razzie Award Nominations

With the Academy Award nominations due to be announced tomorrow morning, the folks behind the Golden Raspberry Awards have gotten the jump on them by releasing the nominees for the 36th Annual Razzies. And, just like the Oscars, I fully expect most of the conversation to revolve around how useless and out of touch they are. Still, it is hard to argue with some of these nominees. This year Fifty Shades of Grey, Pixels, Jupiter Ascending and Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 are all neck in neck with the same number of nominations, while Fantastic Four, Mortdecai and Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip are in the mix as well. Looks like Ridiculous 6 came out unscathed. Frank should be pleased.

  • Stinker

Jupiter Ascending is nominated, well Speedracer was also nominated, which means something. Hope they make movies, even when 98 % of the viewer did´nt like or haten them. So what. Hope they find producers who risk something to get something really good.

  • Gerry

Both Mara sisters were nominated. Is this a family linked first?

I thought Dakota Johnson was supposed to be okay in 50 Shades. Just because you appear in a(n allegedly) less than stellar movie shouldn’t mean you’re bad by association.

  • The Razzies are publicity first, they are just going for the things that gives them the most press.

And she is fine in 50 shades, as you say.

I don’t get the hate for Mortdecai..
