Weekly Poll Results: Best Sylvester Stallone Movie

pollresultsstallone

Last week we asked Film Junk readers to vote on the ultimate Sylvester Stallone movie, and not surprisingly, the winner by a near unanimous decision was the very first Rocky film, released in 1976. Not only did it give birth to an iconic American franchise and catapult him to stardom but it also won Best Picture. The first installment in his other classic franchise, First Blood, was a distant second. His 1993 sci-fi action flick Demolition Man came in third, followed by James Mangold’s Cop Land, which drew critical acclaim for Stallone’s performance. Kurt Russell team-up Tango & Cash rounded out the top 5. Things fall off pretty quickly outside of the top 10, but it might have been interesting to see where Creed ranks on this list. Heartbroken that “Over The Top” didn’t win. Well I guess I’ll just turn my hat around in respectful protest. Turn it around…
